PCA Life Taiwan fulfills corporate social responsibility and advocate public’s health and protection. With 12 days of volunteer leave per year and various ESG initiatives, PCA Life Taiwan actively encourages employees to contribute to society.
Wishing Doll Charity Program
PCA Life Taiwan cooperated with Taiwan Fund for Children and Families and launched "Wishing Doll Charity Program“ in 2000. The “Wishing Doll" wears wings symbolizing hope and holds a crosier with a star representing wishes, implying that injured children could “spread the wings of dreams and embrace the starry sky of hopes” that further calls for support to help these children stay away from domestic violence.
Children’s Financial Education program
Prudence Foundation partnered with renowned education expert to produce a cartoon series, Cha-Ching, featuring six lively characters to improve children’s financial literacy. The program aims to educate children about Earning, Saving, Spending and Donating via summer camps, school curriculums, teacher learning workshops, storybooks and various learning materials as well as teaching methods.
Emergency Aid
Whenever major disasters occur such as the earthquakes in Sichuan, Indonesia as well as Hualien Taiwan, the tsunami in Japan and the floods in northern Thailand, Prudential plc is always the helping hands at where we operate. Prudential plc has also been committed to the society and the people in Taiwan with timely support through donations, relief funds, and any other digital services, especially in the time of COVID-19.
Safety Education for Children –
SAFE STEPS KIDS
SAFE STEPS is created and developed by Prudence Foundation to provide a series of public safety information to raise awareness and deliver educational information on life-threatening issues to build more resilient communities. The SAFE STEPS KIDS program aims to teach children to stay calm in crises and everything they need to know in the face of disasters, first aid, and road traffic safety etc.
We DO Volunteer - Service for Elderly Care
PCA Life Taiwan cooperated with Huashan Social Welfare Foundation to visit elders over 65 years old and with disability, dementia as well as life lost and provided the need with dry food as well as daily necessities and get to know the elders through face-to-face interviews to further secure their living environments and daily needs.
We DO Volunteer - Service at Remote Rural School
Volunteers from PCA Life Taiwan to support remote rural to build up learning environment, cultivate digital skills, and strengthen students' abilities that are needed in the future.
